The bell in the panel header collects things that need your attention: an invitation to an organization, a colleague asking to join, a new security requirement, a change in how we process data. A number on the bell tells you how many are unread.
Who sees this
Every panel account. Which notifications you get depends on your roles — join requests, for example, go only to organization Admins.
Open your notifications
- 1Click the bell in the top-right corner of the panel, next to the help center icon.
- 2The list shows the newest notifications first. Each one has a button that takes you straight to the right place.
What each notification means
| Notification | What to do |
|---|---|
| You've been invited to join an organization | Accept to join it right away, or Decline. See Join an existing organization. |
| New join request (Admins) | Review opens the Members page, where you choose roles and approve or decline the request. See Invite people to your organization. |
| Request approved / Request declined | The answer to your own join request. Once approved, you can switch to the organization. |
| Two-factor authentication required | Your organization now requires 2FA. Enable 2FA opens your security settings. See Enable MFA on your account. |
| The list of subprocessors is changing / The data security measures are being updated (Admins) | A change to how we process your trainees' data, with the date it takes effect. See privacy and compliance opens the page with details. |
| A report you sent is now … | The status of your bug report or idea changed. See my reports opens your reports. |
The list shows only unread notifications. Dismiss marks a notification as read and removes it from the list; clicking its main button does the same.
Mark everything as read
Click Mark all as read at the top of the list. Every notification is marked as read, the list empties and the number on the bell disappears.
Leave the important ones unread
An unread number is an easy reminder. If a join request or a 2FA requirement still waits for you, leave it unread until you have dealt with it.
FAQ
Do I also get these notifications by email?
Some events send an email too — an invitation, for example. The bell is the place where you see all of them together.
How quickly does a new notification appear?
The panel checks for new notifications about once a minute while it is open, and again when you come back to its browser tab. Invitations to another organization are the exception — they appear after you reload the page.
I accepted an invitation, but I don't see the organization.
Use the organization switcher at the top of the panel to change to it.
