VR headset setup step by step

The full first run of a VR headset — from installing EHS Academy and pairing it with a code to downloading courses and checking it in the panel.

This guide takes a new headset from the box to the first training: install EHS Academy, pair the headset with your organization using a code, download the courses and check that everything shows up in the panel.

Who can do it

An organization Admin with the Device Admin permission. Only the pairing step needs the panel — the rest happens in the headset.

1. Prepare the headset

  1. 1Charge the headset and connect it to a stable Wi-Fi network.
  2. 2Install EHS Academy from the Meta Store if it is not installed yet.
  3. 3Open EHS Academy and leave the screen with the code open.

Do not interrupt the process

Do not turn off the headset or close EHS Academy until the panel confirms the pairing.

2. Pair the headset with a code

  1. 1On a computer, open Devices → Device list.
  2. 2In Sign in by code, type the code from the headset and click Continue.
  3. 3Select an existing device or click Create new device.
  4. 4Check the summary and click Authorize.
  5. 5Go back to the headset and click the button under the code.

3. Download courses

After pairing, EHS Academy shows the courses available to your organization.

  1. 1Select the courses you want to use.
  2. 2Wait for the download to finish. Do not turn off the headset and do not let it go to sleep.
  3. 3Select a course and start it.

4. Check the panel

After the first course launch, go back to the panel:

  1. 1Open the headset from the Device list — it should have the name, colour and number you gave it.
  2. 2On the Applications on device tab, EHS Academy shows Signed in and the time of the Last run.
  3. 3After the first lesson, the result appears on the Last completions tab.

Ready to train

FAQ

Do I need a computer next to the headset?

Only for pairing. You type the code from the headset in the panel, on any computer or phone where you are signed in.

How many headsets can I set up?

As many as your subscription has seats. The number of seats in use is shown on the Device list.
