How trainee signature works

A trainee signature is required only when the certificate template contains the Trainee signature field.

When to add the signature field

Add the trainee signature field when your process requires the trained person to confirm receipt or participation by signing the certificate.

Do not add this field if the certificate should be finalized immediately after issuing and does not require the trainee's signature.

Signature during issuing

If the selected assignment uses a template with the trainee signature field, the issuing form shows a signature area.

1. 1Ask the trainee to sign in the form.
2. 2Check that the signature is readable.
3. 3Issue the certificate.

Signature later in the registry

If the signature was not added during issuing, add it later:

1. 1Open the certificate registry.
2. 2Find the certificate waiting for trainee signature.
3. 3Select the action for adding trainee signature.
4. 4Capture the signature and save.

Finalization after signature

A certificate that requires a trainee signature is not digitally finalized until the trainee signature is saved. After saving the signature, Skillsive finalizes the certificate.

A certificate without a trainee signature field is finalized automatically after issuing.
