A custom course is your own training path made of lessons from a VR application — for example an induction for new warehouse staff made of three lessons from different courses. It appears in the application on the headset, and trainees launch it like any other course.
Available to organization Admins.
Create the course
- 1Open Trainings → Custom courses.
- 2Expand Add custom course.
- 3Select the Application. Only then the list of its lessons appears.
- 4Enter the Name and Description.
- 5Add a cover: click Upload cover, or Generate AI cover once the name, description and at least one lesson are filled in. A cover is required.
- 6In Available lessons, pick the lessons one by one. They are grouped by the course they come from.
- 7Drag the lessons into the right order.
- 8Tick Required for certificate next to the lessons that must be completed.
- 9Click Add custom course.
Lessons and their order
A custom course can have up to 10 lessons. They run one after another in the order you set, so plan the flow of the training before saving. Each lesson shows its duration and whether it needs an internet connection or is available offline.
Required lessons
Required for certificate means the lesson must be completed for the course to count as completed for certificates. Do not tick it for lessons that are only extra material.
Change or remove a course
In the course list, open the row actions menu:
- Certificates — set which certificate the course issues,
- Edit — change the name, description, cover, lessons and their order,
- Delete — remove the course.
Use the course in the training schedule
A custom course can be planned like any other course: in New training it appears in the Custom courses section of the course list. See Training schedule.
FAQ
Why is the lesson list empty?
Select the application first. If a list still does not appear, the application has no lessons and you cannot build a custom course from it.
Why can I not generate an AI cover?
The button becomes active once the name, the description and at least one lesson are filled in.
How do I check the course before the first session?
Launch it in the VR application on a headset and make sure the lessons run in the right order. If not, change the order with Edit.
