A custom course lets you create your own training path from lessons available in a selected VR application. The course appears in the headset application and trainees can launch it.

Create the course
- 1Open Organization → Custom courses.
- 2Click Add custom course.
- 3Select the VR application.
- 4Enter the course name and description.
- 5Upload a cover image or generate one with AI if available.
- 6Add lessons from the available lesson list.
- 7Reorder lessons by dragging them.
- 8Mark which lessons are required.
- 9Save the course.
Application selection
Select the application first. Skillsive then shows the lessons available in that application. If the application has no lessons, a custom course cannot be created.
Lessons and order
A custom course can contain up to 10 lessons. Lessons run in the order set in the form, so plan the training flow before saving.

Required lessons
Required for certificate means the lesson matters for considering the course completed in completion and certificate workflows.
Do not mark a lesson as required if it is only additional material.
Course cover
The cover helps identify the course in the panel and in the application. You can upload an image or generate an AI cover after filling in the name, description, and lessons.
Next step
After creating the course, check it in the VR application and make sure the lessons are in the right order. If the course should issue certificates, configure a certificate assignment.
