The Skillsive update of 7 November gives administrators a security log, a list of the key events in the organization that you can export to a file. It also adds voiding of VR course results, a new form of online courses about VR and a clear message when a phone number is already taken. Here is what changed and how to use it.
Security log
The security log is a view for the organization administrator where you can check who changed important things on the account and when. It records sign-ins and changes to roles, API keys and settings of your organization. It helps during a customer audit or when someone asks "who changed this?".
You can export entries to a CSV or XLSX file and open them in a spreadsheet next to the rest of your documentation. For more on accountable training records, see the description of reporting and analytics.
Voiding VR course results
Sometimes someone other than the learner takes the course, or the wrong login is picked on the headset. An administrator can now void such a result from the row menu on the completions list or from the details page, and give a reason.
A voided result disappears from the list, exports, reports and statistics, and certificates issued on its basis are voided. The learner can take the course again from the start. The "Show voided" switch displays such results together with the reason, and "Restore result" undoes the decision.
Online courses about VR in a new form
The online course catalog in the panel now focuses on virtual reality and working in Skillsive. There are three courses: "VR Basics", "Your First Headset in Skillsive" and "Rolling Out Skillsive and the Panel Step by Step".
Lessons are short, roughly one minute each, with a narrator. When the narrator talks about the headset, controller, hands, watch or safety boundary, that element lights up in the drawing. The same happens on panel screenshots. Every two or three slides there is a short task: choosing an answer, "myth or fact", sorting into groups or putting steps in order.
The panel course starts with a rollout plan for the company. It shows who pairs headsets, who adds learners, who assigns trainings, checks results and issues certificates. Texts are available in five languages, and the narrator speaks Polish for now.
3D Simulations: a new page
There is a new public page, 3D Simulations. It describes how EHS Academy simulations work in the browser on a computer and a phone, and leads to the training catalog. The Help Center has an article on how to run a 3D simulation in the browser. 3D simulations are still a pilot in selected organizations.
Learner phone number
When you add or edit a learner with a number that another person in the organization already uses, the panel shows a clear message next to the phone field. A CSV import no longer stops on such a number. It skips that row, shows the reason in the import result and saves everyone else.
Where to start
VR courses are in the application catalog, the platform is described on the VR LMS page, and tips are in the Help Center. The previous update is covered in the post on 3D simulations on a phone.
