The October Skillsive update focuses on trust in issued certificates. The headline change: certificate verification now compares the uploaded PDF against the registry of issued documents, so the status "Authentic" goes only to the exact file your organization issued. Below is what that means in practice, plus two smaller changes in the organization panel.
The certificate file is checked against the registry
Anyone who opens the verification page and uploads a PDF gets one of three answers: the document is authentic, it was revoked, or it does not match any entry in the registry. Authentic means an exact match to the file your organization issued in Skillsive, not just a matching certificate number or name. A PDF edited in even one field comes back as a mismatch.
Certificate data is frozen at the issue date
The instructor name and issuer details shown on an issued certificate no longer change when you later update the signature in your organization settings. The document reflects the state on the day it was issued, the same way a paper certificate would. A finalized certificate cannot be deleted from the registry. The only available action is revocation, which keeps a record and a reason, so the certificate stays a permanent record of the completed training.
Every role now sees the organization panel
A person invited to an organization as Analyst, User, Finance or Device Admin now sees an "Organization" tab in the panel listing the pages they can access, instead of only their own profile settings. Narrower roles finally use the panel as conveniently as Admin, each within their own permissions.
Clearer language status in dubbing
When editing dubbing and translations, each language now has a status icon next to its name: translated, missing, or unavailable to you, with a description on hover. Organizations that localize their own courses can see the language state at a glance, instead of relying on background color alone.
Find headsets faster in the XR catalogue
In the XR device catalogue, the header search shows matching devices with a thumbnail and status as you type, before you scroll to the full list. A "Newest in the database" section shows the most recently announced hardware, including devices not yet on sale. The availability filter now distinguishes shipping, announced and discontinued devices, and you can also sort the list by image sharpness.
Where to start
Log in and check certificate verification on the VR LMS page, or directly in your organization's certificate registry. If you manage several roles on your team, assign them in the organization settings; each one will now see the right slice of the panel. The previous September update covered live headsets and the new dashboard, and the VR training catalog shows what you can run on headsets today.
