XREAL One Pro — specification and verdict
The One Pro keeps the architecture of the One and widens the optics: a 57° field of view, up to 700 nits, 87 g, and an ultrawide mode when it is tethered to a PC. The step up over the One is the image, not the capability.
As with the One, nothing runs on the glasses themselves; the application lives on the connected phone or computer, and so does any device management. The 3DoF anchoring is computed in the frame, so it works with any USB-C source.
Worth the difference over the One if the display is the point — a mobile workstation, a cockpit-style setup, a bench. For guiding a task on a plant floor it is the wrong class of device, however good the picture is.

Who this device is for
One Pro is for people who need a screen where there is no room for one: a technician reading documentation next to a machine, a field engineer on a plane, an office worker with a laptop and no second monitor. At 87 g it is worn like glasses rather than deployed like a headset — but it is a display, not a computer, so it will not run a training scenario on its own and our courses do not run on it.
How it differs from its predecessor
Against XREAL One the step up is the X1 chip's larger field of view — 57 degrees instead of 50 — and a brighter, flatter image from a redesigned birdbath stack. Reviewers who put the two side by side make the same point: the field of view is the smaller part of the difference, and the anchoring stability of the virtual screen is what actually decides whether you can work in them.
What is missing, and what the manufacturer does not publish
There is no camera, no environmental tracking beyond 3DoF anchoring and no on-board application platform: everything comes from the phone or laptop on the other end of the USB-C cable. XREAL publishes brightness at 700 nits, which is comfortable indoors and marginal in direct sun. There is no vendor device management, so a fleet of them is managed as accessories to the phones rather than as devices of their own.

XREAL One Pro — frequently asked questions
- Can XREAL One Pro run a VR training application by itself?
- No. It is a display for a phone or a computer connected by USB-C — there is no on-board application platform, and our training courses do not run on it. It is the right device for showing a document, a manual or a video hands-free, and the wrong one for an interactive safety scenario.
- Is 57 degrees of field of view enough for working in AR glasses?
- For a single document or a video, yes — it is the equivalent of a large screen a few metres away. For several windows side by side it is not; you end up moving your head to change window instead of your eyes, which is why reviewers who work in them talk about screen stability more than about the number.
- Do XREAL One Pro glasses work with prescription lenses?
- Not over ordinary glasses — the frame does not have the room. XREAL sells a prescription lens insert that clips inside, which is the usual route, and it is a per-person purchase rather than something a shared pool of glasses can cover.
