The Skillsive update of 7 October is about everyday work with your list of trainees. The main change: the learner's date of birth now sits in the add and edit form and in the learner list. Below I cover it and a few smaller panel changes.
Date of birth in the form and the list
You enter a learner's date of birth when you add them and when you edit their card, and you see it in the learner list. Until now it could only be loaded through a CSV import, so people added by hand had that field empty. Editing no longer clears the saved date of birth or the address: you correct one field and the rest of the data stays.
Sign-in: a 15-minute pause instead of a call to support
After 5 wrong passwords the account is locked for 15 minutes. Once that time passes, you sign in as usual. Nobody has to contact support to get back in after a forgotten password.
Invitations, newsletter and dubbing recordings
The link in an organization invitation email no longer contains the invitee's email address. Newsletter sign-ups are now confirmed by an email with a link, and you join the list once you click it. When you edit dubbing, repeated saves of the same recording go through smoothly, and recordings added earlier stay available.
API keys for integrators
If you build your own application on the platform, creating or rotating a Developer key requires a second factor. Application versions sent with an API key land on the Alpha channel. You publish them to the production channel from the panel when you are ready.
Where to start
Log in to the panel and fill in dates of birth for learners you added by hand. You can read more about the platform on the VR LMS page, and the VR training catalog shows what you can run on headsets. The previous update from 3 October covered certificate verification and the XR device catalogue.
