Lenovo Glasses T1 — specification and verdict
The Glasses T1 is a monitor you wear, not a computer. Two micro-OLED panels at 1920x1080 per eye run at 60 Hz, fed over USB-C by a laptop, tablet or phone using DisplayPort over that cable; there is no chipset, no battery and no operating system inside the frame. With no cameras and no tracking of any kind, the image is a fixed window that moves with your head instead of staying anchored in the room. A trainee can read a document, a video or a slide deck in private at glasses weight, and that is the whole capability. Lenovo never published a field of view or a brightness figure for it, so how large that window actually looks is not a number we can give.
There is nothing to manage: no MDM enrolment, no kiosk mode, no firmware channel and no user accounts, because the device is a display peripheral of whatever machine you plug it into. Your fleet policy therefore lives entirely on that laptop or phone. The T1 itself was a China-market product that never reached North America; Lenovo brought the same hardware West as the Legion Glasses at 329 USD instead, so a PL or DE purchase order for a Glasses T1 today means grey-market stock with no local warranty path. Budget for prescription lens inserts, which mount in the frame and are a separate purchase, and for a USB-C host that actually carries DisplayPort — many business laptops and most iPhones need an adapter.
Do not buy it for training. Our courses are standalone VR applications and the T1 cannot run software at all, so it is outside the catalogue's usable set; it is listed here so nobody mistakes it for a headset. If somebody wants a private screen for reviewing course material or paperwork on the road, the current Legion Glasses is the same optics with a supported sales channel.

Who this device is for
This suits a single mobile worker who wants a discreet 1080p screen for a laptop or phone on a plane or in an open office, and who does not need the image locked to the room. It is not for a training team: no compute, no tracking, no app platform and no fleet tooling mean there is nothing here for a course to run on or for an administrator to control.
What is missing, and what the manufacturer does not publish
Lenovo publishes no weight, no field of view, no brightness in nits and no dimensions for the T1, and its own newsroom and support pages return 403 to our fetcher, so every figure here comes from VRcompare and from launch coverage rather than a live spec sheet. We also could not establish an end-of-sale date or an end-of-support date: the model was quietly replaced by the Legion Glasses in the West and we found no Lenovo notice retiring it in China. Treat the 2022 release year as the China launch window, not a dated shipment.
Lenovo Glasses T1 — frequently asked questions
- Can Skillsive VR training courses run on the Lenovo Glasses T1?
- No. The T1 has no chipset, no operating system and no tracking, so nothing installs on it — it only shows the picture a USB-C host sends over DisplayPort. Our courses are standalone VR applications that need 6DoF tracking and controllers, so you would need an actual VR headset; the T1 can at most display a recording of a course on a connected laptop.
- Was the Lenovo Glasses T1 ever sold outside China?
- Not under that name. Lenovo announced it in September 2022 and launched it in China, and the planned North American release never happened; the identical hardware arrived in the West in October 2023 as the Legion Glasses at 329 USD. Anything sold as a Glasses T1 in Poland or Germany today is import stock without a local warranty.
- What do the TÜV certifications on the Glasses T1 actually cover?
- Lenovo's marketing lists two TÜV Rheinland eye-comfort marks — low blue light and reduced flicker — which describe the micro-OLED panels' emission behaviour during long viewing sessions. They are not safety or ingress ratings: there is no IP rating and no MIL-STD or ATEX certification, so the T1 is an office and travel device, not shop-floor eyewear.
