Rokid Glass 2 — specification and verdict
Rokid Glass 2 puts a single 1280x720 waveguide panel over one eye with a 40 degree diagonal field of view, so a wearer reads a checklist or a remote expert's video feed while keeping both eyes on the machine in front of them. Tracking is 3DoF only, which means the image follows head rotation and nothing is anchored to a place in the room. The frame weighs 96 g on its own; the 10,000 mAh pack that gives it its quoted 8 hours hangs off the USB Type-C cable on a belt. Voice commands and gesture control replace any controller. For our purposes it displays instructions; it does not run a VR course.
There is no headset-plus-controller kit to manage here: one frame, one cable, one battery pack per user, and the pack is what actually needs charging overnight. Rokid does not publish a device management or kiosk product for Glass 2, so a fleet is managed by whatever Android MDM you can get onto the Amlogic S905D3 build, or by hand. The product page at rokid.com/en/rokid-glass-2/ now returns 404, which is the practical problem for a European rollout: warranty, spares and firmware all depend on a distributor rather than the maker. In PL and DE the route is a specialist AR reseller, and at the USD 3,000 launch price you are buying a discontinued 2020 platform.
Do not buy Rokid Glass 2 in 2026. It is a five-year-old monocular assistance tool that Rokid has dropped from its own catalogue, and nothing about the 1280x720 panel or the 3DoF tracking has aged well. If you need hands-free work instructions, buy a currently supported assisted-reality glass; if you need VR training, this is the wrong category of device entirely.

Who this device is for
The audience was a field service or warehouse operator who needed a checklist and a remote-expert camera in their line of sight while both hands stayed on the job. That still describes a real need, but it is served today by hardware that is still on sale and still getting firmware. Nobody should start a new Glass 2 programme; the only sensible owners are sites that already have units and spare parts.
What is missing, and what the manufacturer does not publish
Rokid publishes nothing about Glass 2 any more: the manufacturer page is gone, so there is no official spec sheet, no Android version, no IP or ATEX rating, and no stated end-of-support date to plan against. The resolution, 40 degree field of view and 96 g weight here come from VRcompare, not from Rokid, and the 8 hour battery figure comes from a distributor listing. We could not confirm whether firmware or SDK updates are still issued, and we found no current retail price.

- None that Rokid publishes. The frame is a magnesium-aluminium alloy with foam padding and no ingress, drop or ATEX rating appears in any source we could open. If your site requires certified hardware for a hazardous zone, treat Glass 2 as uncertified and specify a glass whose maker states the rating in writing.
