RealWear Arc 3 — specification and verdict
The Arc 3, launched in late 2025, is RealWear's lighter answer to the Navigator line: 175 g, a see-through micro-OLED display with a Full HD monocular image, and natural-language AI on board. It is aimed at logistics, field service, retail and healthcare rather than at heavy industry.
It runs Ari OS on an Android base, so ordinary application packages install and device management works — the same deployment path as the rest of the RealWear line. RealWear publishes no statement about Google Mobile Services for this model, so plan as if they are absent until it confirms otherwise.
The right RealWear when a full shift on the head matters more than a rating on the case: it is lighter and clearer than the Navigator, and rated IP54 rather than IP66. That single line decides between them — a wash-down area or an oil rig is not this device's environment.

Who this device is for
The Arc 3 is RealWear's lighter, newer take: 175 g, a 1920x1080 monocular micro-OLED display and Ari OS, aimed at the same frontline work as the Navigator line but for people who found 274 g too much over a shift. Remote assistance and digital work instructions, not training — our courses do not run on it.
How it differs from its predecessor
Against the Navigator 520 it saves 100 g and gains a sharper display, and gives up protection: IP54 against IP66 and no military drop standard. That is the trade a site has to make consciously — a lighter headset that is less happy in dust, rain and the back of a van.
What is missing, and what the manufacturer does not publish
IP54 is splash and dust resistance, not the washdown-grade sealing of the Navigator line, and there is no ATEX option. There is no motion tracking at all in our data, the field of view is 22 degrees, and our applications do not run on it. Ari OS is newer than the Navigator's WearHF stack, so check that the software your team relies on has been ported.
RealWear Arc 3 — frequently asked questions
- Should we choose the RealWear Arc 3 or the Navigator 520?
- Weight against protection. The Arc 3 is 175 g with a sharper display and is easier to wear all day; the Navigator 520 is IP66 and MIL-STD-810H, which matters outdoors, in washdown areas and anywhere the headset gets dropped. Neither runs immersive training.
- Does software written for RealWear Navigator run on the Arc 3?
- Not automatically — the Arc 3 runs Ari OS rather than the Navigator's Android build with WearHF, so voice-control integration in particular needs checking. Confirm with your remote-assistance vendor before mixing the two in one fleet.
