RayNeo X3 Pro — specification and verdict
The X3 Pro looks like a pair of display glasses and is not one: it has its own Snapdragon processor, memory, storage and Wi-Fi, runs an Android-based system, and tracks in six degrees of freedom with gesture recognition and a 12 MP camera. RayNeo publishes no field of view in degrees, only a virtual-screen size, so that row stays empty here.
Technically it takes Android applications — but the retail firmware installs only from RayNeo's curated list, and anything else means enabling developer mode and sideloading from a PC. There is no vendor device management, so a fleet of these is a manual exercise rather than a managed rollout.
The most interesting piece of consumer hardware in this comparison, and the one with the widest gap between what it could do and what a company can actually deploy on it. Watch it; do not standardise on it until there is a supported enterprise path. RayNeo also showed an X3 Pro "Project eSIM" concept at CES 2026 — the same glasses with an embedded eSIM and 4G, so they work without a phone. It is a concept: RayNeo has announced no date, no price and no market for it, which is why it has no entry of its own here.

Who this device is for
The RayNeo X3 Pro is the most complete pair of true AR glasses you can currently buy at consumer scale: standalone Android, waveguide optics at 6000 nits, 6DoF tracking and 76 g. It runs ordinary APKs, which makes it the most interesting device in this catalogue for anyone thinking about AR applications — though our own courses do not run on it.
How it differs from its predecessor
Against the Meta Ray-Ban Display it is the open one: an Android device that takes ordinary applications, against a closed platform tied to Meta's ecosystem. Against HoloLens 2 and Magic Leap 2 it is a fraction of the weight and the price, with a fraction of the spatial-computing depth.
What is missing, and what the manufacturer does not publish
RayNeo does publish a 30-degree field of view and a 640x480 panel, but it names no axis for that angle, prints no refresh rate, and its spec table has no battery runtime row at all - only a 245 mAh cell and activity-specific up-to figures that reviewers have not matched in practice. There is no device management, no enterprise licensing and no support for our applications.

- Can the RayNeo X3 Pro run ordinary Android applications?
- Yes — it is a standalone Android device that accepts APKs, which is unusual for AR glasses in this size class and is the reason developers pay attention to it. That is not the same as running our VR courses, which need a 6DoF headset with a stereoscopic immersive display.
- How is the X3 Pro different from Meta's Ray-Ban Display glasses?
- Openness. The X3 Pro is Android and takes your own applications; the Meta device is a closed platform tied to Meta's software and its neural band. For a company thinking about building something, that difference matters more than any specification on either page.
