Acer AR Vision GR0 — specification and verdict
Acer is back in XR with a wearable display, and it is the most conventional device in this comparison: two micro-OLED screens at 1920x1080 each, 60 Hz, 200 nits, in a 69-gram frame that plugs into an Android phone, an iPhone, or a Windows laptop over a cable. It has 3DoF sensors, so the picture stays put when you turn your head, and a magnetic myopia lens option instead of a prescription insert. Acer describes the result as a 172-inch screen viewed from six metres, which is a marketing figure rather than a field of view, so there is no degree number in the table — Acer has not published one. Nor has it published the lens design: the spec sheet says "dual micro OLED screens" and stops, which is why this record says the same rather than borrowing the birdbath label from the XREAL sitting next to it. Pricing is 499.99 dollars in North America, 599 euros in EMEA from Q4 2026, and 999 Australian dollars in Australia from Q3 2026.
A wearable display runs nothing. There is no operating system, no app, no way to install a training scenario — the picture arrives over USB-C from whatever is on the other end, and the glasses show it. That makes this a personal screen: a second monitor for a laptop on a train, a private display in an open-plan office, a cinema on a flight. For our purposes it is worth understanding precisely because so many people first meet "AR glasses" in this shape and conclude the category is not useful for training. That conclusion is right about this class and wrong about the two above it.
What is known: the full display specification, the weight, the connectivity, the price in three regions and a Q4 2026 date for Europe. What is not: the optics, the field of view in degrees, and whether the Australian Q3 window has already opened — Acer states no quarter for North America at all. If you want a wearable screen and 500 dollars is the budget, this lands right where the XREAL One does, and the comparison is worth making on weight and brightness. If you want to run a training scenario, this is the wrong class of device entirely.

Who this device is for
The AR Vision GR0 is Acer's announced entry into display glasses: binocular micro-OLED at 69 g for 500 dollars, connected over USB-C like the rest of the class. Its interest is competitive rather than technical — a large PC manufacturer entering a category so far owned by XREAL, VITURE and Rokid.
What is missing, and what the manufacturer does not publish
The published brightness of 200 nits is far below everything else in this class, and for a viewer of this type that is the number that decides whether the image survives a lit room — treat it as the first thing to verify at launch. Acer still gives no field-of-view angle, describing the image only as a 172-inch screen seen from six metres, which is not convertible to degrees without inventing a viewing distance. Availability is still only a quarter, and there is no independent testing.
