VITURE Helix — specification and verdict
Helix is the only device in this catalogue that starts from personal protective equipment rather than from a screen. VITURE announced it at AWE in June 2026 as safety eyewear with a 12-megapixel first-person camera, a four-microphone array and stereo speakers, and no display at all: "Voice in, voice out. No display. Eyes stay on the work." It runs standalone over Wi-Fi with no companion phone, and the model doing the work sits on NVIDIA's infrastructure rather than in the frame, so the glasses are the sensors and the earpiece rather than the computer. Two things a safety buyer must read carefully. VITURE's own wording is "ANSI Z87.1-2025 / Certification in progress" — the glasses are engineered to the American impact standard but are not certified to it today, and there is no EN 166 or CE claim even on VITURE's German page. And the published battery figure is "60+ minutes of charge-while-using", which is an hour with a caveat, not a shift. Shipping is stated for the first quarter of 2027, from 599 US dollars.
This is the closest thing on the market to eyewear an EHS department already buys, which is exactly why the gaps matter. There is no device management, no provisioning, no admin console — striking for a product whose pitch is capturing every shift for the organisation. There is no SDK either: VITURE's developer page does not mention Helix, so today there is no route for anyone else's application. And because the model runs on NVIDIA's infrastructure rather than in the frame, the glasses need working Wi-Fi to do their job, and VITURE has described no offline behaviour. A pilot buyer should also settle the question VITURE has not addressed anywhere: an always-on camera and four microphones recording in a lab or on a line raise storage, retention and works-council questions before they raise technical ones.
Announced, not shipping, and the one figure that decides whether it is safety equipment at all is still open: VITURE says certification to ANSI Z87.1-2025 is in progress, so as of today Helix carries no completed safety certification and makes no European conformity claim. Take the ANSI wording literally — VITURE's own page meta description drops the caveat and reads "engineered to ANSI Z87.1 industrial safety standards", which is the phrasing most likely to be repeated as if the certificate existed. The rest of what is missing is ordinary for an announcement: no weight, no battery capacity, no IP rating, no operating-temperature range, none of which a PPE specification can do without. Worth watching, because a displayless pair of certified safety glasses that coaches by voice is a genuinely different idea from everything else in this catalogue. Nothing to plan a rollout around before the certificate lands.

Who this device is for
Helix is aimed at people whose hands are busy and whose eyes must stay on the task: VITURE names laboratory researchers, clinicians, field technicians and industrial operators. The design follows from that. There is no display, so nothing sits between the wearer and the work; a 12-megapixel camera and a four-microphone array feed a model that answers by voice; and the frame is built as safety eyewear rather than as a consumer accessory. It is the only device in this catalogue that starts from personal protective equipment. Whether it can be bought as PPE is a different question, and today the answer is not yet.
How it differs from its predecessor
Against VITURE's own Luma Pro and Beast, Helix is the opposite product: those are wearable displays you plug a phone or handheld into, this one has no display at all and needs no host. Against Rokid Glasses or Even Realities G2 — the standalone AI glasses already here — the difference is where the model runs. Those carry their assistant on-device or in a phone; Helix streams to NVIDIA's infrastructure over Wi-Fi, which buys a larger model and costs a dependency on the network. And against the industrial AR in this catalogue, RealWear Navigator or Iristick G2 PRO, the contrast is certification: those ship today with completed ratings, Iristick's to EN 166 S and ANSI Z87, while Helix's ANSI certification is still in progress.
What is missing, and what the manufacturer does not publish
The certification is the gap that matters. VITURE's own wording is "ANSI Z87.1-2025 / Certification in progress", so nothing has been certified yet, and no EN 166 or CE claim appears anywhere — not even on VITURE's German page. Beyond that: no weight, no battery capacity, no IP rating and no operating-temperature range, all of which a PPE specification needs. The published runtime is "60+ minutes of charge-while-using", which is short for shift work and comes with no spare-battery or hot-swap story. There is no fleet management, no SDK and no enterprise licensing, and VITURE says nothing about where footage of "every run" is stored or for how long. Shipping is stated for the first quarter of 2027; there is no device to test.

- Is Helix certified safety eyewear?
- Not yet. VITURE says it is engineered to ANSI Z87.1-2025 and that certification is in progress — those are different claims, and the company's own page meta description drops the caveat, which is how the distinction gets lost. There is also no EN 166 or CE marking claimed, which is what a European workplace would ask for. Until a certificate exists, it cannot be specified as eye protection.
