Lenovo ThinkReality VRX — specification and verdict
ThinkReality VRX is Lenovo's enterprise-only headset, and its specification reads like it was written by somebody who has actually managed a fleet. LCD panels at 2280 x 2280 per eye behind pancake lenses, 95 degrees of field of view at 72 or 90 Hz, a Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 with 12 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage on a fixed Android 12 base with over-the-air updates. Two full-colour pass-through cameras handle mixed reality, four cameras handle 6DoF tracking, and the 6900 mAh battery sits at the back as a counterweight with a venting system that channels display heat away from the face. The box includes both a narrow and a wide face pad, and every surface is specified as wipeable. Lenovo states around 830 g and says plainly that it is a lab figure.
This is the most fleet-ready device in this comparison that we cannot yet vouch for. On the management side it is exactly what a rollout wants: the ThinkReality cloud platform exists to deploy and manage applications across a fleet, the device is enterprise-only with a protected supply chain, and it was the first VR headset to support Snapdragon Spaces — which is also the documented path to its hand tracking. On the platform side it is a fourth Android runtime beside Meta, PICO and HTC, and nobody has run our courses on it, so that field says no rather than probably. Practically, Lenovo's consumer product page now returns a 404 and the device lives in the enterprise catalogue, which means a quote, a sales conversation, and no Polish route we could confirm.
If your IT department already buys Lenovo and wants XR inside that relationship, ThinkReality VRX is the device on this list built for that conversation — and the one where we would most want to test our courses before either side commits. Ask us to verify compatibility before you buy a fleet. If you need something you can order today, in Poland, that certainly runs our training, the answer stays Quest 3 or a PICO 4 Ultra Enterprise.

Average pixel density is our own arithmetic: panel pixels divided by the field of view on the same axis. It is the standard approximation, and it runs lower than a published peak figure because a lens packs pixels denser at the centre.
Who this device is for
ThinkReality VRX is Lenovo's enterprise standalone: 12 GB of memory, device management, enterprise licensing and a support contract from a manufacturer whose IT department your organisation may already deal with. That last point is usually why it gets chosen — our training courses do not run on it, so its place is in a customer's wider Lenovo estate rather than in ours.
How it differs from its predecessor
Against PICO 4 Ultra Enterprise and VIVE Focus Vision it competes on exactly the same ground — management, licensing, support — and loses on optics: 2280x2280 at 95 degrees, and 830 g, the heaviest device in this catalogue. What it has instead is Lenovo's procurement and service network, which for a large organisation can outweigh a spec sheet.
What is missing, and what the manufacturer does not publish
At 830 g it is heavy enough to shape session length, the field of view is the narrowest of the current enterprise headsets here, and Lenovo publishes no battery figure. Our applications do not run on it. There is also very little independent review coverage of this device, which is itself worth knowing before committing a fleet to it.

- Do Skillsive courses run on the Lenovo ThinkReality VRX?
- Not today. It is an Android device, but it is not one of the platforms our training applications are built and distributed for, so deploying it would mean a porting project rather than an install. If Lenovo hardware is a procurement requirement, that conversation has to happen before the headsets are ordered.
- Why is the ThinkReality VRX so heavy?
- At 830 g it carries a rear battery, four tracking cameras and an enterprise-grade build meant to survive being handed round a factory rather than to be light. The weight is balanced towards the back, which helps, but it still shapes how long a session can reasonably run.
