Meta Ray-Ban Display — specification and verdict
The Ray-Ban Display adds a monocular colour display in the right lens to the camera-and-audio formula, controlled by a wristband that reads muscle signals rather than by touch. Meta publishes 69 g and about six hours of mixed use; the field of view and brightness quoted everywhere come from a press briefing rather than Meta's own pages, so they are absent here.
Since 2026 third parties can reach the display in a developer preview, through a native toolkit or as a web application — a genuine opening, still preview-stage. The application runs on the phone; the glasses remain a peripheral, with no device management.
The most convincing consumer preview of glasses that can actually show something, and not deployable in Europe: it is sold in US stores only and the European rollout has been postponed. Worth watching closely, not worth planning a 2026 project around.

Who this device is for
The Ray-Ban Display is Meta's first pair of glasses with a screen: a small monocular waveguide in a normal frame, controlled by a wrist-worn neural band that reads finger movements. It is the most credible consumer AI-glasses product on the market — and for a company, an evaluation device: no fleet management, and our courses do not run on it.
How it differs from its predecessor
Against the plain Ray-Ban Meta glasses it adds the display and the neural band and doubles the price. Against the RayNeo X3 Pro it is the closed one: a polished platform tied to Meta's ecosystem, against an Android device that takes any application you build.
What is missing, and what the manufacturer does not publish
No device management, no enterprise licensing, and until recently no third-party applications at all — that opened up during 2026, which is why older reviews describe a different product. The camera raises the same workplace questions as the rest of the family, and the neural band is another device to charge and to fit.
