Lenovo Legion VR700 — specification and verdict
The Legion VR700 pairs a Snapdragon XR2 with 8 GB of RAM and a 1832x1920-per-eye LCD at 90 Hz, which is enough to read large instruction labels but marginal for the small print on a control panel or a chemical drum. Brightness is rated at 95 nits, so any scene rendered dark stays dark. There is no eye tracking and no controller-free hand tracking, so every interaction goes through the two bundled 6DoF controllers, which run on AA cells and need spares in the training room. Storage is 256 GB with a microSD slot, generous for locally installed course content. The catch is not the silicon but the platform: the headset shipped on iQIYI's iQUT 2.0 ecosystem for the Chinese market, not on an open enterprise Android distribution.
There is no realistic way to deploy this headset in Poland or Germany. It launched in August 2022 at 2,999 yuan (about 440 USD with both controllers) through Chinese retail only, and Lenovo never published a European product page, warranty or support channel for it. Lenovo offers no fleet management or kiosk mode for the VR700, so there is no way to lock a device to one course, push builds, or monitor a room of headsets. The facial interface is foam and the strap is a rigid retractable halo, so hygiene between trainees means wiping foam rather than swapping a washable insert. Anything imported privately arrives with Chinese-market firmware and no service path.
Do not buy it for training. It is a four-year-old consumer headset from a closed Chinese content platform, with no European availability, no device management and no support commitment. If you want Lenovo hardware for enterprise VR, look at the ThinkReality line instead; if you want a headset our courses run on today, take a current standalone Android device with a real MDM story.

Who this device is for
Realistically the audience is collectors and people documenting the Chinese XR market of 2022, plus anyone comparing how Lenovo positioned Legion against Meta's consumer line in China. It is not a device for a training department: no fleet management, no European sales channel, and an AA-powered controller pair as the only input.
What is missing, and what the manufacturer does not publish
Lenovo published almost nothing durable about this headset. There is no vendor figure for weight, field of view, battery life, charge time, IPD range or lens type, and the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth generations are listed only as "Wi-Fi" and "Bluetooth" with no version. Passthrough exists through the four tracking cameras but Lenovo never specified whether it is colour or greyscale, nor at what resolution. We also could not confirm an end-of-support date or a formal discontinuation notice: the product simply stopped being covered.
