AjnaXR Enterprise Edition — specification and verdict
The Enterprise Edition is the high-resolution AjnaXR: 2280x2280 per eye on LCD panels behind pancake lenses, 90 Hz, and a diagonal field of view AjnaLens advertises as 95-108 degrees. At roughly 24 pixels per degree at peak, procedure labels and gauge markings in a training scene are legible without leaning in, though small print still needs to be authored larger than on a desktop monitor. Eye tracking and controller-free hand tracking are both built in, and the dual RGB passthrough cameras let a trainee glance at a real workbench. Inside it is a first-generation Snapdragon XR2 with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage on Android 10, so it renders like a 2020-class headset, not a current one. Four cameras track the room, but AjnaLens's own figure for the tracking loop is 60 Hz, below the 90 Hz the panels run at.
There is no public price and no online checkout: AjnaLens's current product page for the AjnaXR Enterprise offers a demo booking, not a spec sheet or a cart, so budget it as an enterprise purchase negotiated with the vendor in India. Content is expected to arrive through AjnaVidya, the company's own training platform and SDK, and we found no published device-management or kiosk-mode documentation a new customer could rely on for a fleet. Hygiene is a plain foam facial interface; AjnaLens does not say whether a wipeable replacement is sold. Battery is 5500 mAh for a stated 3 hours, charged over the single USB Type-C port, with no hot-swap and no published charging case, so a shared-headset day needs a charging break rather than a spare pack. We found no European distributor, no Polish or German reseller and no localised support contact.
Do not buy it for a European training fleet in 2026. The optics, the 390 g counterbalanced strap and the diopter dial are genuinely good ideas, but a 2023 XR2 Gen 1 platform on Android 10, with no published fleet management and no distribution in Poland or Germany, is not a base you can standardise on. If you want the same standalone, controller-free shape with a supported deployment path, buy a current XR2 Gen 2 class headset instead and keep AjnaXR on the list only if you are procuring in India.

Who this device is for
Relevant to organisations buying in India, and to defence, aviation and industrial-training teams that already work with AjnaLens and AjnaVidya and want the higher-resolution panel plus eye tracking over the base AjnaXR. Its diopter dial and 60-68 mm IPD range also make it interesting where trainees rotate quickly and cannot each bring glasses inserts. It is not a headset for a distributed European fleet.
What is missing, and what the manufacturer does not publish
AjnaLens publishes almost nothing itself now: the CES-era spec page at ajnalens.com/ajnaxr returns 404 and the current product page carries no specifications at all, so most of this record rests on VRcompare plus the CES 2023 press coverage. Unpublished anywhere we looked: price, panel brightness, headset weight without the strap, physical dimensions, whether the foveated rendering is fixed or eye-tracked, any MDM or kiosk documentation, and any end-of-support or Android-update commitment for the Android 10 base. We also found no independent hands-on review, so comfort and tracking quality are unrated here.
AjnaXR Enterprise Edition — frequently asked questions
- How much does the AjnaXR Enterprise Edition cost and can I order one online?
- AjnaLens does not publish a price. Its current AjnaXR Enterprise page has a demo-booking form instead of a spec sheet or a cart, so every unit is quoted through the company's enterprise sales in India. Treat it as an enterprise-tier purchase with a negotiated quote, and expect the AjnaVidya platform and content work to be priced separately from the headset.
- Will Meta Quest or SteamVR training content run on the AjnaXR Enterprise Edition?
- No. SteamVR titles need a PC and the AjnaXR is standalone, and while the headset runs Android 10 there is no Quest store on it — content is meant to come through AjnaLens's own AjnaVidya platform and SDK. We could not verify any public sideloading or fleet-deployment channel, which is why our own courses are marked as not running on it today.
- Why does the AjnaXR Enterprise Edition list 60 Hz tracking with a 90 Hz display?
- The published figure for its four inside-out cameras is a 60 Hz tracking loop, while the LCD panels refresh at 90 Hz, so head and controller poses are sampled less often than frames are drawn. In practice that shows up as slightly softer motion on fast head turns rather than lost tracking. AjnaLens does not document the figure itself, so we carry it from VRcompare's spec sheet.
