PICO 4 Pro — specification and verdict
The PICO 4 Pro pairs two 2160x2160 LCD panels behind pancake optics with a 104-degree horizontal field of view at a single 90 Hz refresh rate, which is enough to read panel labels and machine markings in a training scene but not enough for fine print. It adds what the plain PICO 4 lacks: eye tracking, face tracking and motorised IPD between 62 and 72 mm, so the headset re-measures each trainee's eye spacing on every put-on instead of asking them to find a slider. The Snapdragon XR2 with 8 GB of memory is a 2022-class part, so scenes authored for current XR2 Gen 2 hardware will need to be scaled back. Colour passthrough runs off the front cameras, and 512 GB of storage means a large course library fits locally. Roughly three hours of battery covers a training day only with a charging break.
There is no European deployment path for this SKU. The PICO 4 Pro is the mainland-China consumer name for the hardware; the same headset reached EMEA as the PICO 4 Enterprise, and only that enterprise variant carries the software entitlement for PICO Business Suite kiosk mode and the paid PICO Business Device Manager. A Pro unit imported from China therefore arrives with the Chinese PICO OS build, no enterprise fleet tooling, no local warranty and no PL or DE support channel. The foam facial interface is replaceable for hygiene, and the rigid retractable strap wipes down between users, but that is the only part of a fleet rollout this device makes easy.
Do not buy a PICO 4 Pro for a training fleet in Poland or Germany. It is discontinued, it was never sold here, and the management software that would make it deployable is tied to the Enterprise variant instead. If you specifically need PICO hardware with eye and face tracking, look at PICO's current enterprise line rather than importing a 2022 China-market unit.

Who this device is for
This entry exists for buyers who have found a grey-import PICO 4 Pro listing and want to know what they would be getting: a 295 g, 512 GB, eye- and face-tracking standalone from 2022 with a Chinese system build. Research groups doing gaze or facial-expression work on hardware they already own are the only realistic audience; anyone building a managed training fleet should read this as a warning, not a recommendation.
What is missing, and what the manufacturer does not publish
PICO publishes no global product page for this model at all, so almost every figure here comes from VRcompare rather than the manufacturer. Battery capacity is left blank on purpose: VRcompare lists 5300 mAh while TechNode reported 6070 mAh, and we could not settle that against a PICO source. The release date is equally unclear, with a late-2022 date recorded by VRcompare against an April 2023 China retail launch reported by TechNode, and we found no published end-of-support or end-of-sale date. Weight with the strap and foveated rendering are both flagged as estimates by our source, so they are omitted.
